My guys {Janice Reyes Photography – Austin, TX}

I am still undecided if I want to put black and white photos in really bright frames on our bedroom wall or color photos in not so offensively bright frames. B+E were promised to have a really fun time (and maybe some dessert). They cooperated for about 10 minutes – if you are a photographer with children you know your own children are your most temperamental models. Sometimes, they play and smile and look at the camera – other times it becomes the 5,000th battle of wills just for that day.

I just can’t believe they are 4 and 3. I know we are at a special stage. They both share their feelings and what they are thinking with us. Whining, fighting, and full on tantrums are annoying and stressful, but when they talk about how much they love us, each other, family, friends it is worth it. They announce when they are happy and tell people they love them. They give hugs out freely and ask for snuggles. They ask questions about life when they come to mind. They aren’t inhibited by the fear of being judged or judging others. If someone hurts their feelings – they just tell them and forgive them. It isn’t going to last forever. Someday, they will be teenagers and want to sleep till 11 and the day I get to wake them up at 7am is going to be GLORIOUS. For now, I will take the snuggles and fighting to sit next me.

I know my children wear the same clothes for pictures, but they only have 2 coordinating outfits.

I am hoping to have 2 blog posts on the bedroom next week! The boys will be at camp for a few hours and I will have time to share our bedroom remodel! I didn’t order enough fabric for our comforter so I am waiting on that, but once it is in I can share our Texas King!
